Life After Lockdown - Reset, Restart, Reopen
'Life After Lockdown' is top of the agenda for so many of us right now with questions around what the 'New Normal' will mean for ourselves, our families, our businesses, teams, managers, employees, customers, industries, relationships, health, finances – the list goes on doesn’t it?....
Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed by all the balls you are juggling or expected to juggle personally and professionally? Maybe you are thinking how do I even start to sort my sh!t out after lockdown?
Naturally people create strategies, processes, policies and different ways of working which are being adapted/created and implemented as a result of lockdown restrictions softening, the vaccine rollout and the huge need we have for connection, all leading us we hope, to a brighter future.
This is why it's such an important time to ask ourselves how we will bounce forward not back from lockdown? How can we manage, rather than juggle, the expectation balls we have of ourselves and others have of us? What emotional, mental and physical clutter (or sh!t as I like to call it 😊) have we accumulated that is weighing us down and creating even more confusion, and overwhelm?
So, I wanted to share with you something I think will help you start to figure some of this sh!t out and get you from A to B, one step ahead of where you feel now.
I’ve created a very simple 3 stage ‘checking in’ list 😊 This is a way that I am using to ‘check in’ with myself firstly – because everything starts with you remember 😊 I’m also finding it really useful with family and clients alike –
Reset
Restart
Reopen
For each of these 3 apply them to each element of your life, each concern, every challenge you foresee, check in by asking - What do I want to reset? What do I need to reset? What do I not want/need to reset? You get the picture 😊 Be as open minded as you can with this exercise, for example when you’re thinking about reopening, consider friendships, memberships you’ve had, reopening your home as you did pre-lockdown….
The responses should provide you with the start of an action plan!
